I am a 49 year old mother of three awesome girls. Though I think 45 was a good place to stop ageing. I want to inspire my girls and others to be fearless, learn resilience and see life as an adventure. I truly believe you only get one shot at this life, and I am only half way through.
I have survived Cushings Disease, several surgeries, the heart breaking pain of a failed marriage, moving countries and towns, and 7 years in Qatar in the Middle East.
But... I have enjoyed new love, watching my girls grow into wonderful young women, new adventures, a fantastic job, and looking forward to an amazing future.
Life's “Takeaways” and Advice for my Girls: Be happy – no one else can do this for you.
Be happy – no one else can do this for you.
Life is hard and short, good and bad, it will all pass in time.
See the good in everything, don’t focus on the negative, it is wasted energy.
Make lasting friendships by being an excellent friend.
Laugh often, especially at yourself.
Learn from others.
Take small bites, eat slower and enjoy the taste – this applies to life and food.
Take care of yourself, and be an inspiration for others.
Enjoy the journey, it is often more fulfilling than the destination.
I really enjoyed being pampered at Studio81. It felt good to do something for me. We need more opportunities like this.
