I'm the woman I am proud to be - Shareen

Hi my name is Shareen,

For as long as I can remember I have always been in the shadows, or at least felt that in my head. I was doing job roles that I had fallen into without much thought to what I really wanted to be doing. Don't get me wrong, I am the sort of person that gives 100 percent of herself to any offer on the table, however I never had the time to soul search my needs.

I found myself a solo mum at the age of 29 with two young boys aged four and seven, so most of my 30s and early 40s were giving them my energy and time, and loving every minute of it. But as every good mummy knows, this is a very time consuming job. So though years of juggling kids, jobs and being in financial struggle mode, I felt I had lost my self esteem, lacked confidence, and had self doubt. This was a gradual thing that I don't think I even became aware of until this year when I was made redundant through the first Covid lock down.

OMG, what do I do?

After two weeks of 'panic,' I dug deep, and with the help of girlfriends, I used this time to do some real soul searching. The hard work really paid off. Today I feel much more alive and aware of my behaviour these days than ever before!

This photoshoot captured my new reinvented self, the one I love and am super happy with. Everyday I am showing up as the woman I'm proud to be. Just after this shoot I landed my dream job and I couldn't be happier. Life is GREAT.
