I wanted to participate in the campaign because I thought it was a great way to embrace turning 40 in October this year. Women are given so much negative messaging about ageing, and I want to be fearless around embracing age, and the wisdom and comfort in my body that I have gained because of it. The campaign gave me an opportunity to spend a day reflecting on self-love, being grateful for the body and image I have been given, my origins and confidently presenting this on camera. We learn fear at a very young age and at times we don't even know it's sitting in us until it's triggered. As I embrace the turn of another chapter in life, I want to be able to not fear achieving the goals I have set for myself, or using my voice when it is needed without fear of repercussion. Most importantly I want to share the ingredients of how to undo fear in us as women with as many women as possible that I can impact the lives of.
I participated in the campaign to allow me to take time and unleash my own potential. Most people will think taking time out in a day to get dressed and take photographs surely can't have meaningful outcomes for the individual or others around them. I am a testament that this is not true. If we give ourselves time to unwind, become a work of art, and capture it, we are tapping into newer potentials in ourselves that will have positive ripple effects for everyone around us.

The #IAMFEARLESS campaign was run by Studio81 as a way to encourage women from all walks of life to kickstart, inspire, and/or motivate any upcoming goals they had, to share a part of their life's journey, and to impart any wisdoms learned along the way.
