We are powerful when we support and encourage each other - Ash

Kia Ora and Hello

I am Ash, South African born, mother of two beautiful babies, a business professional, and studying towards psychology. I am very passionate about community and raising awareness on social and trending topics. I was also recently crowned the first Mrs World NZ 2021. My fearless goal is to inspire woman out there that despite their situation, being mothers, business professionals, partners, we can still achieve life's passions and goals. As women, we are powerful when we support and encourage each other.

My journey started when I became a mum and started to feel the huge change of adjusting not only physically, but mentally as well. My mindset and passions prior to kids were my work and study, however I was opened up to a whole new level of inspiration of motherhood. Learning about other mums, what they had gone through, and life's challenges motivated me to represent these beautiful women on a national stage.

Prior to starting my journey of pageantry, I was very much involved in community campaigns, assisting Breast Cancer Foundation, Cancer Society, and when i joined pageantry, I started to fundraise for victims of Domestic Violence through Shine NZ, and the Pet Refuge. My aim was not only to help these amazing organisations, but also be an inspiration to motivate others. It doesn't take much to lend a hand and make a difference, especially now more than ever. Being kind is the most satisfying feeling, if there is anything we have learned through the global pandemic.

My fearless advice to all the women out there: You are a Queen. Be sure to always love the body you're in and the person you see in the mirror everyday, as there is only one unique you! You are her, a fearless beautiful and an irreplaceable Queen.

The #IAMFEARLESS campaign was run by Studio81 as a way to encourage women from all walks of life to kickstart, inspire, and/or motivate any upcoming goals they had, to share a part of their life's journey, and to impart any wisdoms learned along the way.
